I don’t think the Seahawks are getting any respect in Vegas with this kind of number. They won 7 games last year and a playoff game. They Seahawks have 10 games on the schedule against teams that had losing records in 2011. They have made a lot of changes on the roster for the 2011 and I liked most of them. With that in mind, I would bet the over for Seahawks’ wins in 2011.
I really have not been impressed by the moves the front office and Pete Carroll have been making. The Seahawks were 5-11 last season so the reason for the over/under being 7.5 has to be Pete Carroll. He won’t get to make his own schedule this season and he won’t get to play 2/3 of his games at home this year. He’s a long way from USC’s campus. With that in mind I would bet the under because I don’t see them being any better than they were last year. The Seahawks are also 80-1 to win the Super Bowl but I advise you to keep your money in your pockets for now.
The Seahawks are banged up right now and every team in the division has gotten better. With that in mind I would take the under with the Seahawks. Too many things are going against the Seahawks right now.
The Seahawks are starting to show cracks in the armor. They are a veteran team that really hasn’t improved in the off-season and they are set up for a fall as the Rams, Cardinals and 49ers have all improved for the 2007 season. The Seahawks also are weak along the defensive line due to injuries. Take the under and go buy yourself something nice with the winnings.
