The Seahawks were very efficient on offense in this game despite only having the football for 24:53.  Matt Hasselbeck was outstanding as he completed 16 of 23 passes for 171 yards with 2 TD passes.  Seneca Wallace was also solid in this game as he completed 4 of 7 passes for 17 yards with 1 TD pass.  He also led the Seahawks in rushing in this game with 20 yards on 2 carries (10.0 ypc).  Rookie QB Mike Teel finished up this game completing 1 of 4 passes for 9 yards.  RB Justin Forsett was really busy in this game carrying the ball 7 times for 18 yards (2.6 ypc) and catching 7 passes for 58 yards (8.3 avg).  WRs T.J. Houshmandzadeh (5 rec, 41 yards) and Deon Butler (2 rec, 47 yards) each caught a TD pass in this game.  The Seahawks finished up with 248 total yards in this game (72 rushing, 176 passing).

Linebacker Will Herring led a good effort on defense by the Seahawks with 6 tackles and a fumble recovery in this game.  CB Ken Lucas (4 tackles, interception) and safety Jordan Babineaux (4 tackles, fumble recovery) also had solid games for Seattle.  The Broncos finished up with 282 total yards on offense in this game (81 rushing, 201 passing).

The Seahawks somehow won this game despite not playing really well on either side of the football.  Matt Hasselbeck made a quick appearance completing 3 of 5 passes for 27 yards.  Seneca Wallace followed Hasselbeck and he was solid completing 8 of 12 passes for 40 yards with 1 TD pass.  Rookie QB Mike Teel played decent completing 7 of 15 passes for 75 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception.  Jeff Rowe finished up this game completing all three of his pass attempts for 16 yards.  Devin Moore led the way in the running game for the Seahawks with 32 yards on 8 carries (4.0 ypc).  Justin Forsett was also busy with 12 carries for 27 yards (2.3 ypc).  The Seahawks spread the ball around to 17 different receivers in this game with no one having more than 31 yards or two catches.  The Seahawks finished up this game with 250 total yards on offense (92 rushing, 158 passing) and that just isn’t good enough to get it done when the real games start.

CB Kevin Hobbs (6 tackles) and LB Will Herring (5 tackles) led an uneven effort by the Seahawks’ defense in this game.  The Seahawks were outstanding against the run allowing only 55 yards on 21 carries (2.6 ypc).  But, the Chargers completed 28 of 49 passes for 329 yards in this game.  Despite the win the Seahawks have a lot to work on.

The Seahawks just had too much offense for the Raiders to keep up with in the game last Friday.  Seneca Wallace played the whole game for the Seahawks and he was effective completing 21 of 30 passes for 255 yards.  T.J. Duckett was very effective in this football game with 71 yards rushing on 11 carries (6.5 ypc) with 2 TD runs.  Rookie Justin Forsett was also busy in this game with 14 carries for 45 yards (3.2 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 17 yards.  WR Michael Bumpus led the way for the Seahawks in receiving in this game with 53 yards on 3 catches (17.7 avg).  Ben Obomanu pitched in with 2 grabs for 49 yards (24.5 avg) in this game.  The Seahawks finished up this game with 130 yards rushing on 31 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 31 passes for 253 yards.

Linebacker Lance Laury led the Seahawks in tackles with 7.  Safety C.J. Wallace pitched in with 4 tackles and a interception that he returned 41 yards.  The Raiders finished up with 157 yards rushing in this game on 28 carries (5.6 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 28 passes for 181 yards.  The Seahawks finished up the preseason with a very impressive 3-1 record.

The Seahawks played a solid game in San Diego on Monday Night and came up one point short.  Charlie Frye really had a good football game against the Chargers.  He completed 19 of 29 passes for 219 yards with 2 TD passes and 0 interceptions.  He also carried the football 2 times for 22 yards (11.0 ypc).  Seneca Wallace made a brief appearance in this game completing 2 of 4 passes for 15 yards with 1 interception.  T.J. Duckett led the Seahawks in rushing in this game with 46 yards rushing on 6 carries (7.7 ypc).  Maurice Morris also had a solid effort carrying the ball 5 times for 31 yards in this game.  Julius Jones pitched in with 30 yards rushing on 8 carries (3.8 ypc) before getting dinged up and leaving the game.  Nate Burleson only caught one pass in this game but it went for a 68-yard TD.  2nd year receiver Jordan Kent had a solid game with 4 catches for 47 yards (11.8 avg).  Kent also caught a 12-yard TD pass from Charlie Frye in this game.  The Seahawks finished up with 162 yards rushing on 32 carries (5.1 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 33 passes for 230 yards.

Linebackers D.D. Lewis and Lofa Tatupu led the way for the Seahawks’ defense with 6 tackles apiece in this football game.  The Chargers finished up with 130 yards rushing on 27 carries (4.8 ypc) and they also completed 14 of 30 passes for 168 yards.

Seattle Seahawks 29, Chicago Bears 26 in OT

The Seattle Seahawks won this game in OT when rookie kicker Brandon Coutu nailed his 5th field goal a 36-yarder.  Charlie Frye looked awful in this game as he completed 20 of 35 passes for 209 yards with 3 interceptions.  He also carried the football 4 times for 29 yards (7.3 ypc).  Seneca Wallace should make sure he keeps his helmet with the green dot on the back as Frye flat out stinks.  This game was all about rookie RB Justin Forsett who had a incredible night.  He carried the football 15 times for 136 yards (9.1 ypc) with a 10-yard TD run.  He also caught 1 pass for 8 yards.  Forsett was also very valuable on special teams as he returned 5 punts for 47 yards (9.4 avg) and 2 kickoffs for 70 yards (35.0 avg).  Julius Jones pitched in with 32 yards rushing on 7 carries (4.6 ypc).  T.J. Duckett was also busy with 12 carries for 27 yards (2.3 ypc) with a 1-yard TD run.  WRs Jordan Kent (50 yards) and Logan Payne (38 yards) each caught 4 passes apiece for the Seahawks.  The Seahawks finished up with 241 yards rushing on 45 carries (5.4 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 35 passes for 190 yards.  The offense looked outstanding in this game with the exception of the QB who was awful.

The defense was outstanding for the Seahawks in this game.  CB Marcus Trufant led the way for the Seahawks with 6 tackles.  Linebacker Leroy Hill was all over the place in this game with 4 tackles, a sack and a interception.  CB Kevin Hobbs pitched in with 2 tackles and a interception.  The Bears rushed for only 51 yards on 20 carries (2.6 ypc) and they also completed 19 of 33 passes for 154 yards as the Seahawks were great on defense in this game.

The Seahawks did have a big blunder on special teams however as Bears’ rookie WR Earl Bennett took a punt and returned it 75 yards for a TD.

Seattle Seahawks 34, Minnesota Vikings 17

The Seattle Seahawks played a good all around football game last night.  They were especially good on offense as they ran the ball well and threw it well.  Matt Hasselbeck started the game as he was razor sharp completing 7 of 8 passes for 70 yards with a TD pass before he left.  Seneca Wallace followed Hasselbeck in the game and he was even better than him last night.  Wallace completed 15 of 20 passes for 165 yards with 3 TD passes.  He is starting to quiet the talk of converting him to receiver with his play lately.  Charlie Frye finished up the game completing 2 of 3 passes for 22 yards.  Maurice Morris was outstanding running the football last night as he carried the football 6 times for 62 yards (10.3 ypc).  Rookie Justin Forsett had a solid NFL debut rushing for 58 yards on 13 carries (4.5 ypc).  Julius Jones pitched in with 4 carries for 15 yards (3.8 ypc) in his first game ever with the Seahawks.  Michael Bumpus was the leading receiver for the Seahawks last night with 3 catches for 51 yards (17.0 avg).  The Seahawks finished up last night with 162 yards rushing on 35 carries (4.6 ypc).  They also completed 24 of 31 passes for 257 yards as the offense looked like a well oiled machine last night.

Cornerback Kevin Hobbs led the Seahawks in tackles last night with 6 of them.  But, DT Howard Green was the defensive star of the night for the Seahawks as he made 5 tackles, had 2 sacks and 1 interception.  The Seahawks’ run defense was outstanding last night holding the Vikings to 52 yards rushing on 23 carries (2.3 ypc).  But, the Vikings did have some success throwing the football as they completed 22 of 38 passes for 246 yards.

The Seattle Seahawks won this game because of their stellar defense.  Seneca Wallace played the entire game for the Seahawks and he completed 12 of 26 passes for 181 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs.  He also carried the ball 4 times for 16 yards (4.0 ypc).  RBs Leonard Weaver (16 car, 74 yards) and Marquis Weeks (11 car, 31 yards, TD) both did the heavy lifting in the running game for the Seahawks last Thursday.  WR Nate Burleson was the Seahawks’ leading receiver with 3 catches for 52 yards (17.3 avg) with 1 TD.  The Seahawks finished up with 130 yards rushing on 39 carries (3.3 ypc) and they completed 12 of 26 passes for 181 yards.

The Seahawks defense was pretty sharp as they held the Raiders to 75 yards rushing on 21 carries (3.6 ypc).  But the Raiders did complete 18 of 33 passes for 184 yards.  The Seahawks special teams had some issues as Johnnie Lee Higgins of the Raiders scored a TD on a 90-yard punt return.

Seattle Seahawks 30, Minnesota Vikings 13

The Seahawks were efficient on offense and opportunistic on defense on Sunday Night.  Matt Hasselbeck was efficient completing 12 of 17 passes for 129 yards with 1 interception.  Seneca Wallace finished up the ballgame completing 5 of 7 passes for 77 yards with 1 TD pass.  Shaun Alexander got his work in carrying the ball 8 times for 30 yards (3.8 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Marquis Weeks continues to make a strong case to be on the opening day roster as he carried the ball 4 times for 25 yards (6.3 ypc).  WR Ben Obomanu only caught 1 pass but it was a 57-yard TD from Seneca Wallace.  Bobby Engram also pitched in with 4 grabs for 53 yards.  The Seahawks finished up rushing the ball for 75 yards on 23 carries (3.3 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 24 passes for 206 yards.

The Seahawks played good defense against the pass but the Vikings pushed them around in the running game.  The Vikings finished up with 152 yards rushing on 34 carries (4.5 ypc)!  But the Seahawks held the Vikings to 167 yards passing on 16 of 30 passing.  Rookie CB Kevin Hobbs picked off a pass from Brooks Bollinger and he returned it 39 yards for a TD.

Green Bay Packers 48, Seattle Seahawks 13

Coach Holmgren decided to play his backups most of the game against the Packers and that was smart because he better hope he doesn’t have to use them.  Seneca Wallace had a rough game as he completed only 6 of 15 passes for 94 yards and he lost two fumbles that were both returned for TDs by the Packers defense.  David Greene finished up the game and he was downright pathetic.  He completed only 6 of 17 passes for 68 yards with 0 TDs and 3 INTs!  Undrafted rookie A.J. Harris was one of the only bright spots on offense as he carried the football 15 times for 54 yards (3.6 ypc).  Maurice Morris also pitched in with a nice game as he carried the ball 6 times for 31 yards (5.2 ypc) with 1 TD run.  Leonard Weaver didn’t do much with his 6 carries as he only rushed for 17 yards (2.8 ypc).  Nate Burleson only made one catch but it went for 55 yards.  The Seahawks wound up carrying the football 34 times for 127 yards (3.5 ypc) and they completed only 12 of 32 passes for 112 yards.  The Seahawks better hope Matt Hasselbeck stays healthy this season.

The defense of the Seahawks actually played pretty well against the Packers Saturday.  They only allowed 79 yards rushing on 27 carries (2.9 ypc) and the Packers completed 22 of 38 passes for 197 yards.

Seattle Seahawks 24, San Diego Chargers 16

The Seattle Seahawks scored 17 unanswered points in the 4th quarter last night to beat the Chargers.  Seneca Wallace and a host of second year players led the charge.  Wallace completed 17 of 25 passes for 191 yards with 1 TD pass and 1 interception.  He also carried the football 5 times for 16 yards (3.2 ypc).  Matt Hasselbeck started the game at QB and he looked sharp completing 4 of 5 passes for 65 yards and a TD.  2nd year running back Marquis Weeks looked good last night as he carried the ball 5 times for 37 yards (7.4 ypc) with a TD.  Maurice Morris also looked pretty good carrying the ball 6 times for 26 yards (4.3 ypc).  Second year wideouts Ben Obomanu (5 rec, 83 yards, TD) and Chris Jones (4 rec, 49 yards) were both outstanding last night.  Veteran Deion Branch only caught one pass from Matt Hasselbeck but it was a 31 yard TD.  The Seahawks ran the ball 28 times for 107 yards (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 30 passes for 255 yards.

The defense was in bend but don’t break mode but they didn’t look good despite only allowing 16 points.  The Chargers ran the ball 22 times for 124 yards (5.6 ypc) and they completed 29 of 47 passes for 253 yards.  It’s still early in the pre-season but the coaches have some work to do with the defense.
