The Seahawks played tough for almost 2 quarters in this game before the Falcons rolled off 24 straight points ending the competitive part of this game.  Matt Hasselbeck completed 10 of 17 passes for 71 yards with 0 TD passes and 2 INTs.  He also lost a fumble that was recoved in the end zone by the Falcons for a TD.  Charlie Whitehurst finished up this game by completing 8 of 16 passes for 83 yards.  He also carried the ball 3 times for 10 yards (3.3 ypc) with a TD run.  Marshawn Lynch led the way on the ground for the Seahawks in this game with 12 carries for 60 yards (5.0 ypc) with a TD run.  Mike Williams returned to the starting lineup and he led the way in the passing game for the Seahawks  in this game with 8 grabs for 66 yards (8.3 avg).  The Seahawks finished up with 91 yards rushing on 21 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 33 passes for 143 yards as they had possession of the ball for 24:35.

The defense really played pretty solid football as the offense kept either giving up points or setting up short fields for the Falcons.  DT Colin Cole (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss), LB Aaron Curry (7 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss) and LB Lofa Tatupu (7 tackles) led the way for the Seahawks’ D in this game.  Safety Jordan Babineaux pitched in with a interception in this game.  The Falcons finished up with 98 yards rushing on 37 carries (2.6 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 35 passes for 168 yards.  The Seahawks are now 6-8 on the season but they are still tied for first place in the NFC West with the Rams.

San Francisco 49ers 40, Seattle Seahawks 21

The Seahawks got punished by the 49ers yesterday.  Matt Hasselbeck completed 27 of 42 passes for 285 yards with 2 TD passes and 4 INTs (one was returned 39 yards for a TD by Niners’ safety Dashon Goldson).  Hasselbeck also lost a fumble as he had a game to forget.  Michael Robinson led the way for the Seahawks on the ground in this game with 3 carries for 33 yards (11.0 ypc).  Marshawn Lynch only rushed for 29 yards on 10 carries (2.9 ypc) and he also caught 7 passes for 37 yards (5.3 avg) in this game.  Leon Washington was busy with 4 carries for 10 yards, 1 reception for 13 yards, 2 punt returns for 8 yards and 7 kickoff returns for 222 yards (31.7 avg) with a 92 yard TD return.  WRs Ruvell Martin (4 rec, 73 yards, TD) and Deon Butler (5 rec, 68 yards, TD) led the way for the Seahawks in the passing game.  The Seahawks finished up with 84 yards on 22 carries (3.8 ypc) and they also completed 27 of 42 passes for 277 yards in this game.

LB Aaron Curry (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 1 sack and 1 QB hit) and LB David Hawthorne (6 tackles) led the way for the Seahawks’ D in this game.  The 49ers finished up with 95 yards rushing on 27 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 27 passes for 241 yards.  The Seahawks are now 6-7 on the season and they are still tied for first place in the NFC West with the Rams who also lost yesterday.

Seattle Seahawks 31, Carolina Panthers 14

The Seahawks were down 14-3 at the half yesterday before they started to get serious, outscoring the Panthers 28-0 in the rest of the game.  Matt Hasselbeck didn’t play too well yesterday as he completed 17 of 30 passes for 229 yards with 0 TD passes and 2 INTs.  Marshawn Lynch finally stepped up for the Seahawks yesterday as he carried the ball 21 times for 83 yards (4.0 ypc) with 3 TD runs.  He also caught 1 pass for 17 yards in this game.  Justin Forsett pitched in with 6 carries for 60 yards (10.0 ypc) in this game.  TE Cameron Morrah (3 rec, 69 yards), WR Brandon Stokley (4 rec, 47 yards) and WR Deon Butler (4 rec, 43 yards) led the way for the Seahawks in the passing game. 

LB David Hawthorne (14 tackles), CB Kelly Jennings (7 tackles, 1 pass defensed) and LB Lofa Tatupu (2 tackles, 2 passes defensed and a interception which he returned 26 yards for a TD) led the way for the Seahawks on D.  The Panthers finished up with 131 yards rushing on 30 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 18 of 34 passes for 152 yards.  The Seahawks are now 6-6 on the season as they are still tied with the Rams atop of the NFC West.

Kansas City Chiefs 42, Seattle Seahawks 24

The Seattle Seahawks got destroyed yesterday, plain and simple.  Matt Hasselbeck completed 20 of 37 passes for 282 yards with 2 TD passes and 2 INTs.  Marshawn Lynch led the way on the ground for the Seahawks in this game with 20 yards rushing on 7 carries (2.9 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 13 yards (6.5 avg).  WRs Ben Obomanu (5 rec, 159 yards, TD), Brandon Stokley (5 rec, 51 yards) and TE Chris Baker (1 rec, 13 yards, TD) led the way for the Seahawks in this game.  The Seahawks finished up with 20 yards rushing on 12 carries (1.7 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 37 passes for 268 yards yesterday.

LB David Hawthorne (13 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss), safety Lawyer Milloy (11 tackles) and LB Lofa Tatupu (9 tackles) led the way for the Seahawks on “D” yesterday.  Safety Earl Thomas had 8 tackles yesterday and he recovered a punt blocked by CB Kennard Cox that he returned 10 yards for a TD.  CB Marcus Trufant pitched in with a interception in this game.  The Chiefs finished up with 270 yards rushing on 48 carries (5.6 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 32 passes for 233 yards.  The Seahawks are now 5-6 on the year.

New Orleans Saints 34, Seattle Seahawks 19

The Seahawks put up a fight in this game before falling short last Sunday.  Matt Hasselbeck was outstanding for the Seahawks in this game as he completed 32 of 44 passes for 366 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  Hasselbeck also carried the ball 1 time for 12 yards in this game.  Marshawn Lynch carried the ball 7 times for 36 yards (5.1 ypc) and he caught 4 passes for 19 yards (4.8 avg) but he lost two fumbles in this game.  Justin Forsett carried the ball 8 times for 10 yards (1.3 ypc) but he did catch 5 passes for 33 yards (6.6 avg) last Sunday.  Mike Williams (6 rec, 109 yards), Ben Obomanu (5 rec, 87 yards, TD) and Brandon Stokley (6 rec, 76 yards) all stepped up in the passing game last week.  The Seahawks finished up with 58 yards rushing on 17 carries (3.4 ypc) and they also completed 32 of 44 passes for 366 yards. 

LB David Hawthorne had 12 tackles and a interception and safety Earl Thomas (8 tackles, interception) led the way for the Seahawks’ D last weekend.  The Saints finished up with 112 yards rushing on 29 carries (3.9 ypc) and they also completed 29 of 43 passes for 382 yards.  The Seahawks are still on top of the NFC West with a 5-5 record.

Seattle Seahawks 36, Arizona Cardinals 18

The Seahawks exploded offensively yesterday en route to an easy road win over the Arizona Cardinals.  Matt Hasselbeck completed 22 of 34 passes for 333 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  During the game, Hasselbeck had to leave the game with a broken bone in his left wrist but he returned to the game shortly thereafter.  Charlie Whitehurst replaced Hasselbeck for a little bit as he completed 4 of 6 passes for 53 yards with 1 INT.  Justin Forsett led the way for the Seahawks on the ground in this game with 64 yards rushing on 9 carries (7.1 ypc).  He also added 3 receptions for 31 yards (10.3 avg) in this game.  Marshawn Lynch had another tough game with 29 yards rushing on 13 carries (2.2 ypc) with a TD run and he also caught 2 passes for 33 yards (16.5 avg).  WRs Mike Williams (11 rec, 145 yards), Deon Butler (4 rec, 66 yards, TD) and Ben Obomanu (4 rec, 60 yards and 2 carries for 17 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Seahawks yesterday.  The Seahawks finished up with 110 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 26 of 40 passes for 380 yards as they had possession of the ball for 35:05.

LB Aaron Curry (8 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss, 2 sacks and 1 QB hit) and safety Earl Thomas (8 tackles) led the way for the Seahawks in this game.  DE Chris Clemons also had a outstanding game for the Seahawks yesterday with 5 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 pass defensed, 2 QB hits and 1 fumble recovery.  CB Kelly Jennings also had a big play as he intercepted a Derek Anderson pass.  The Cardinals finished up with 41 yards rushing on 14 carries (2.9 ypc) and they also completed 23 of 45 passes for 286 yards.  The Seahawks are now 5-4 on the year and sitting atop the NFC West.

New York Giants 41, Seattle Seahawks 7

The Seahawks got absolutely mangled by the Giants yesterday at home.  Charlie Whitehurst’s first NFL start didn’t go too well as he completed 12 of 23 passes for 113 yards with 1 TD pass and 2 INTs.  Marshawn Lynch carried the ball 11 times for 48 yards (4.4 ypc) to lead the way for the Seahawks on the ground in this game.  WRs Ben Obomanu (1 rec, 36 yards, TD), Brandon Stokley (2 rec, 26 yards) and Mike Williams (2 rec, 25 yards) led the way for the Seahawks in the passing game yesterday.  The Seahawks finished up with 49 yards rushing on 14 carries (3.5 ypc) and they also completed 12 of 23 passes for 113 yards as they only had possession of the football for only 17:26.

The defense got dominated by the Giants’ offense yesterday.  LB David Hawthorne (12 tackles, 1 fumble recovery), CB Marcus Trufant (9 tackles, 1 pass defensed) and LB Lofa Tatupu (9 tackles, 1 pass defensed) led the way for the Seahawks on D in this game.   The Giants finished up with 197 yards rushing on 47 carries (4.2 ypc) and they also completed 21 of 32 passes for 290 yards.  The Seahawks are now 4-4 on the year.

Oakland Raiders 33, Seattle Seahawks 3

The Seahawks would have been better off not showing up in Oakland yesterday and just forfeiting the game!  Matt Hasselbeck looked awful yesterday as he completed 13 of 32 passes for 160 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  He appears to have come out of this game with a concussion which shouldn’t come as much of a surprise seeing how he was sacked 8 times yesterday.  Justin Forsett (5 car, 11 yards), Marshawn Lynch (9 carries, 7 yards) and Leon Washington (5 carries, 29 yards) couldn’t get much going on the ground against the Raiders yesterday.  John Carlson (3 rec, 47 yards) and Justin Forsett (3 rec, 23 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Seahawks yesterday.  The Seahawks finished up with 47 yards rushing on 19 carries (2.5 ypc) and they also completed 13 of 32 passes for 115 yards.

The Seahawks’ D was putrid in this game!  CB Marcus Trufant (6 tackles, 1 pass defensed), safety Lawyer Milloy (6 tackles) and LB Lofa Tatupu (6 tackles) led the way for the Seahawks in this game.  The Raiders finished up with 239 yards rushing on 39 carries (6.1 ypc) and they also completed 15 of 27 passes for 306 yards.  The Seahawks are now 4-3 on the year.

Seattle Seahawks 22, Arizona Cardinals 10

The Seahawks pushed around the Cardinals today and it showed on the scoreboard.  Matt Hasselbeck was efficient in this game as he completed 20 of 38 passes for 192 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 11 yards (5.5 ypc) today.  Marshawn Lynch got a lot of work in today as he carried the ball 24 times for 89 yards (3.7 ypc) in this game.  Justin Forsett pitched in with 41 yards on 9 carries (4.6 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 31 yards (15.5 avg) in this contest.  WRs Mike Williams (11 rec, 87 yards, TD) and Deon Butler (3 rec, 41 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Seahawks today.  The Seahawks finished up with 144 yards rushing on 36 carries (4.0 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 38 passes for 158 yards as they had possession of the ball for 37:17.

DT Colin Cole (7 tackles) and rookie safety Earl Thomas (3 tackles, 2 passes defensed and 1 interception) led the way for the Seahawks’ D in this game.  CB Marcus Trufant, CB Kennard Cox, CB Roy Lewis and DT/DE Raheem Brock each had a fumble recovery apiece in this game.  The Cardinals finished up with 113 yards rushing on 20 carries (5.7 ypc) and they completed 12 of 33 passes for 114 yards in this game.  The Seahawks are now a surprising 4-2 on the season.

Seattle Seahawks 23, Chicago Bears 20

The Seahawks had a blip on special teams (Devin Hester returned a punt 89 yards for a TD) but other than that they outplayed the Bears today.  Matt Hasselbeck was sharp today in completing 25 of 40 passes for 242 yards with 1 TD pass and 0 INTs.  Justin Forsett led the way on the ground for the Seahawks in this game with 10 carries for 67 yards (6.7 ypc) with a TD run.  Marshawn Lynch made his debut for the Seahawks and he was so-so as he carried the ball 17 times for 44 yards (2.6 avg) with a TD run and he also caught 3 passes for 9 yards.  WRs Mike Williams (10 rec, 123 yards) and Deon Butler (4 rec, 47 yards, TD) led the way in the passing game for the Seahawks today.  The Seahawks finished up with 111 yards rushing on 31 carries (3.6 ypc) and they also completed 25 of 40 passes for 242 yards as they had possession of the football for 34:23.

CB Marcus Trufant (6 tackles, 1 pass defensed) and safety Jordan Babineaux (4 tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, a safety and a QB hit) led the way for the Seahawks’ D today. The Bears finished up with 61 yards rushing on 14 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 39 passes for 246 yards.  The Seahawks are now 3-2 on the year.
