The Seattle Seahawks release T.J. Houshmandzadeh

The Seahawks have released 32-year old WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh.  Houshmandzadeh played in 16 games (all starts) in his only year with the Seahawks and he caught 79 passes for 911 yards (11.5 avg) with 3 TD grabs.  It’s hard to know what the Seahawks are thinking here as no other team cut their best WR today.  They are going into the season with Mike Williams & Deion Branch as the starting WRs….yuck!

Let a good WR go and keep one that is going down hill fast. No 3rd QB and a chance to pick up one that you have worked with before. Somehow I see a dismal year,……Again.

I just don’t understand the Seahawks thinking on getting rid of Houshmandzadeh. He wasn’t out of work too long. His “boy” Mike Williams better have a big year or the offense is going to be really poor.
