The Seahawks have picked CB Walter Thurmond with the 111th overall pick (4th round) of the NFL Draft.  Thurmond is 5’10″, 185 pounds and he runs a 4.45 40 when healthy.  He slipped on a lot of draft boards because he blew out his knee.  With that in mind the Seahawks are getting a solid player who could develop into a starter down the road.  He is a good cover corner who could also return punts and kicks if the need arises for the Seahawks.  Thurmond played in 4 games (all starts) for Oregon last season and he had 17 tackles, he broke up 2 passes and he had 1 interception.  He played in 41 games (40 starts) in his four years with the Ducks in which he had 253 tackles, he broke up 37 passes, had 12 interceptions (252 return yards), he forced 1 fumble and he recovered 1 fumble.  Thurmond has a nice upside and he was a solid pick for the Seahawks.
