The Seahawks have traded 25-year old DT Darryl Tapp to the Eagles for 28-year old OLB/DE Chris Clemons and a 4th round pick in 2010.  Tapp played in 16 games for the Seahawks last season in which he had 49 tackles, defensed 3 passes and he had 2.5 sacks.  He played in 64 games in his four years with the Seahawks in which he made 186 tackles, defensed 12 passes, he had 18 sacks, forced 8 fumbles and he has 2 interceptions (1 returned for a TD).

Chris Clemons played in 16 games for the Eagles last season in which he made 11 tackles, defensed 1 pass and he had 3 sacks.  Clemons has now played in 68 games in his NFL career in which he has made 62 tackles, defensed 5 passes, he has forced 5 fumbles and he has 20 sacks.  With the Seahawks changing the defense under Coach Carroll it seems as if Clemons will be a better fit for them going forward than Tapp.
