Owen Schmitt is a throwback player as he can do it all on the football field.  He can block, run the ball and catch it well.  He gives 100% effort on every play and he will help the running game big time as a lead blocker no matter who is carrying the ball for the Seahawks.  Schmitt played in 47 games (31 starts) at West Virginia and he carried the ball 353 times for 2,066 yards (5.9 ypc) with 18 TD runs.  He also caught 34 passes for 298 yards (8.8 avg) with 2 TD grabs.  Schmitt will also play on a lot of the Seahawks’ special teams.  Players like Schmitt make a big difference on a football team.

4. (121) Red Bryant, DT

The Seahawks needed a tough guy for the middle of the defense and Red Bryant definately fits that bill.  He is 6′4″, 326 pounds and he plays hard all of the time.  He’s not that fast off the ball so he rarely makes plays in the opposing backfield but he attacks the double team and lets linebackers roam free to make plays.  Bryant played in 45 games (42 starts) at Texas A & M and he finished with 127 tackles, 19.5 tackles for a loss, had 6.5 sacks and he batted down 7 passes.  Bryant will be in the tackle rotation as a rookie and he might be a starter down the road.
