The Seattle Seahawks have signed 27-year old RB T.J. Duckett to a 5-year contract.  Duckett played in 12 games last season for the Lions and he carried the ball 65 times for 335 yards (5.2 ypc) with 3 TD runs.  He also caught 4 passes for 54 yards (13.5 avg).  Duckett has now played in 77 games in his NFL career and he has carried the ball 655 times for 2,642 yards (4.0 ypc) with 36 TD runs.  He also has caught 35 passes for 303 yards (8.7 avg).  This was a good signing for the Seahawks as Duckett hasn’t gotten much playing time the last two seasons which means he probably has a lot of tread left on his tires.  He’s also a big, power runner at 6’0″, 254 pounds who will be able to team with Shaun Alexander to bring back the running game in the Northwest corner of the United States.
