Actually it was Matt Hasselbeck who led the Seahawks to the playoffs as they ran a pass first offense to make for a below average running game.  Hasselbeck played in 16 games this season for the Seahawks and he completed 352 of 562 passes (62.6%) for 3,966 yards with 28 TD passes and 12 interceptions (91.4 QB Rating).  He also carried the ball 39 times for 89 yards (2.3 ypc) this year.  Hasselbeck has now played in 135 games in his NFL career and he has completed 1,904 0f 3,138 passes (60.7%) for 22,333 yards with 142 TD passes and 84 interceptions (86.2 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 246 times for 891 yards (3.6 ypc) with 5 TD runs.

Seneca Wallace was again the backup and he played well when he got on the field…which wasn’t much.  He played in 10 games this season for the Seahawks and he completed 19 of 28 passes (67.9%) for 215 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 interception (99.6 QB Rating).  He also carried the ball 4 times for 17 yards (4.3 ypc).  Wallace has now played in 25 games in his NFL career and he has completed 114 of 194 passes (58.8%) for 1,315 yards with 11 TD passes and 9 interceptions (78.9 QB Rating).  He also has carried the ball 22 times for 134 yards (6.1 ypc) in his career.  Wallace will have to fight off Charlie Frye to keep his job as the #2 QB next season.

The Seahawks played their backups a lot in this game on offense and they still almost beat the Falcons on the road.  Matt Hasselbeck started the game and he completed 15 of 25 passes for 147 yards with a TD pass.  Seneca Wallace replaced him and he was effective as usual as he completed 17 of 22 passes for 206 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 interception.  Maurice Morris was the leading rusher for the Seahawks with 91 yards on 13 carries (7.0 ypc) with a TD run.  He also caught 4 passes for 18 yards (4.5 avg).  Leonard Weaver also got a lot of work in as he carried the ball 8 times for 34 yards (4.3 ypc) and he caught 6 passes for 39 yards (6.5 avg).  Shaun Alexander made a brief appearance and he carried the ball 8 times for 31 yards (3.9 ypc) with a TD run.  Nate Burleson (7 rec, 119 yards, 2 TDs) and Bobby Engram (4 rec, 65 yards, TD)  both had really good games for the Seahawks.  The Seahawks finished with 167 yards rushing on 31 carries (5.4 ypc) and they also completed 32 of 47 passes for 334 yards.

Safety Deon Grant led the way for the Seahawks defense with 7 tackles in this game.  The Falcons finished up with 124 yards on 29 carries (4.3 ypc) and they also completed 17 of 27 passes for 240 yards.
