Will Herring is a converted safety that only has one year of experience at linebacker.  The Seahawks will need to coach Herring up as he has problems making open field tackles but he is a very gifted athlete.  Herring is 6’2″, 229 pounds and he’s fast as he can run a 4.57 40.  Herring played in 53 games (49 starts) at Auburn and he made 250 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, 2 sacks, forced a fumble, recovered 4 fumbles, broke up 9 passes and had 8 interceptions.  Look for Herring to be a backup and a special teams player as a rookie.  He could develop into a starter if he starts tackling better.
