The Seahawks had the Chargers on the ropes most of this game, but the Chargers hit them with a knockout punch late in the 4th quarter.  Matt Hasselbeck had another rough game as he completed 17 of 37 passes for 189 yards with 2 INTs.  Shaun Alexander had a great game with 31 carries for 140 yards (4.5 ypc) and 2 TDs.  Bobby Engram (4 rec, 65 yards), Deion Branch (5 rec, 61 yards) and DJ Hackett (3 rec, 37 yards) all pitched in on the passing game.

LB Lofa Tatupu registered 12 tackles and a sack to lead the Seahawks defense against the Chargers.  The Seahawks couldn’t stop the Chargers run game as they ran up 168 yards rushing on 33 carries (5.1 ypc). The Chargers only completed 10 of 30 passes for 172 net yards thru the air.

The Seahawks fell to 8-7 on the season with this loss, but they won their division due to the Cardinals win over the Niners.
