Seahawks dominated on scoreboard and physically losing 31-13
The Seahawks got absolutely beaten up by the Minnesota Vikings yesterday. Gone is the Seahawks 12 game home winning streak, and also Matt Hasselbeck could miss some time as he was knocked out of the game in the 3rd quarter with a sprained knee. Hasselbeck completed 7 of 17 passes for 127 yards and a TD before he was knocked out. Seneca Wallace didn’t look too good, completing 14 of 25 passes for 134 yards and 2 INT. RB Maurice Morris was stuffed all day as he had 17 carries for 49 yards (2.9 ypc). WR Darrell Jackson had a good game catching 7 passes for 136 yards and a TD. Deion Branch caught 4 passes for 60 yards.
LB Julian Peterson had a great game with 10 tackles and 2 sacks, but the rest of the defense had a rough time. The Vikings ran the ball 30 times for 175 yards (5.8 ypc)! The Seahawks allowed the Vikings to complete 16 of 25 passes for 157 net yards passing….including a TD pass thrown by a running back!
The two players that the Seahawks couldn’t afford to lose, Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun Alexander are both injured now. We’ll see if the other Seahawks can step it up until they get back. If they can’t, it will be hard for the Seahawks to make the playoffs.
